A rumored fight for UFC 102 will be Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva. Although the two have not signed a deal, the fight has been talked about and verbally agreed to per Inside MMA. In Jardine’s last six fights he won 3 and lost 3. In fact, every fight he wins he follows up with a loss. Jardine hasn’t put together a pair of back to back wins since his wins over Wilson Gouveia on 6/24/06 at the the Ultimate Fighter 3 finale and then his TKO victory over Forrest Griffin at UFC 66 on 12/30/06. Jardine’s last fight was a close decision loss to Rampage at UFC 96 on 3/7/09. If Jardine’s win/loss pattern continues then he is due for victory over T. Silva.
Thiago Silva is also coming off of a loss to Lyoto Machida back on 1/31/09 at UFC 94. Unlike Jardine, every fight before Machida was a win, all 13 of them. Silva was 4-0 in the UFC before his first carreer loss to the Dragon.
It is obvious that if this fight happens, it basically will be a must win for the Dean of Mean but you know Thiago Silva will be thinking differently considering he rarely loses and you know he will be hungry to get back into the win column.
This fight should be a good one that could possibly end with a KO. The winner being…(You tell me)
